		<description>Personal Project

My first (semi) successful attempt at font creation, this is Vertical Stamp Version 1. It's based on a very simple 2x6 grid structure. I'll admit it's nothing ground breaking but I have had fun forming the characters and creating general rules that each should follow.

As I work on this project, the characters may change slightly. But as it stands, this is a pretty solid base to work from.

Steinburg’s brief was to create something clean, elegant and contemporary. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to complete these designs due to financial issues.

This is a bit of photoshop fun. While Skyping my girlfriend over in England, I took about 50 screenshots of her and turned it into a desktop wallpaper. That way I can see her pretty face 50 times over every time I turn on my computer. Brilliant.

		<description>Website Design and Build

Print Worx, a London based print management company, approached me to redesign their aging site.

Initially all owners wanted was a revamp of their existing site, like a fresh coat of paint. But it soon became evident that the masses information on the site needed to be completely overhauled and reorganised. After we created a more structured site design, I designed and coded a clean interface that would effectively communicate the wealth of services Print Worx has to offer.

		<description>Poster Art:

This set of posters was created while I was at Cobra Creative. It was commissioned by Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, one of the UK’s largest animal shelters, to help publicise it’s cause.

The posters are used as a platform for the spirited imagery, captured by our in-house photographer, to reach the viewer without any distractions. This elegant solution also allows the Battersea logo to be easily recognised, which was a strong requirement in the brief.

		<description>Print Designs

Working with Appco, a direct sales company, I designed a number of pitch cards for charity clients such as British Red Cross, Unicef, World Vision and Battersea. I also designed promotional material for UK overseas businesses.

The challenge with these designs is to include all the information based on seller feedback as well as adhering to strict design guidelines. The finished product will generally have been approved by several groups (sales rep, sales manager, client marketing team, client legal rep etc.) before it sees the light of day. That’s a lot of different opinions that need to be listened to and considered.

This poster was a one-off design for the coffee machines at the head offices of the Cobra Group. It's main focus was to inform people that the money spent in the coffee machines was going to a good cause.

Because it's purpose was informative (not persuasive), I was able to create a poster with an abstract representation of the Cobra Group Foundation branding.

As part of decorating the offices at Cobra Creative, the team was tasked with creating a feature wallpaper for one of the walls. This was my original concept for the wallpaper.

In the end, when our creative director presented the designs to the Cobra Group Marketing director, a compromise of around 5 designs was created. The project didn’t go any further but I still enjoy my original designs.

		<description>Poster Design

This is a set of movie posters created to promote a fictional movie. My heavy interest in poster art drove me to start creating my own as part of a university project. The challenge here was to try and convey the genre and tone of the film in an instant. The aim is for the viewer to be able to quickly decipher that this is a dark genre movie.

The red posters are concepts that didn't make the cut for photography and final production. That said, I think they still look pretty cool.

“My Scene” was an animated music video project created as part of a university assignment. My task within the group was to create the background images and animation for the music video. I also came up with the final concept and provided my own original music for the video. Because our group ended up running with my concept, I was thrust into the position of project manager. Needless to say, I was not prepared.

In the end we wasted a lot of time trying to make bad concepts work. Then we forfeited our sleeping hours to get that time back. I was able to give my deliverables and I’m quite proud of what I was able to accomplish (considering I’d never worked in animation before). Unfortunately we weren’t able to finish the entire project.
